For the Record!
I just posted this on the Rogers corporate site. Stay tuned and we will see their response.

In October of last year I registered an inquiry Case # C13549365 with Rogers for an vehemently disputed and arbitrary change to my account which resulted in charges in excess of $1,000.00 which was automatically paid through my credit card. I was told when I opened the case file that I would hear from a supervisor within 24 hours. I called repeatedly, logged my calls on the file each time and when I received no response, sent a lawyer's letter.

The letter from Mills and Mills, dated November 27, 2009 requested a response within 10 days. That was not forthcoming. I did not exercise my right to proceed in court as I feel this matter can be more expeditiously satisfied without that.

However the complete lack of response to a legitimate customer complaint, abuse of access to my credit card account and the disregard for a formal legal request is not compliant with any ethical conduct.

I have found this site asking for a review as I searched for the the corporate head office address in order to copy Mssrs Horn and Mohamed on this breach of trust. I will be writing them and copying the CRTC as I feel that the telecommunication cartels have excessive control and regulations must be imposed.

Competition alone from more customer oriented wireless servers like WindMobile is not enough when many of us have lengthy contracts and are unable to exercise our consumer preference.

I have been a customer of Rogers wireless, internet, and home phone for many years, spent tens of thousands of dollars and have every right to expect the courtesy of a response and the resolution of my account.

If Rogers prefers not to have my business, then I will accept release from this contract and will gladly take my business to a company which will respect it.

Sincerely
Marilyn Harding

P.S. A copy of this will appear on my corporate blog at www.artemisallianceinc.com

Jefferey - thanks for your comment. I'm glad you wrote. It's important that the 5% connect - even if only virtually! There is no interruption - only welcome and dynamic sharing of values and views.

If you're interested - I share some of my more philosophical views on LightBeam.org.

Cheers!

In the book "Power vs Force", Dr. David Hawkins speaks of Komodo dragons: on the scale of consciousness they are pretty low frequency creatures and instinctual - as you point out, Mcdermott. No matter how well meaning we are if we reach out to pat one we might lose some body parts! For them it is nothing personal - just an opportunity to eat.

On my quest for enlightenment - I have learned discernment and that as much as I wish I lived in a world where I could trust everyone - I cannot.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I feel that way often in person and sometimes on blogs — that the conversation is so established I would be interrupting. I know exactly what you mean about that.

I'm afraid that the Pit bull requirements a exclusive type of operator...these dogs, no matter how 'warm' still have teeth, are nevertheless creatures without having moral ideas and if they DO bite, won't let go. As in all creatures...some have a tendency to be additional suseptable to instinctual habits and time and time once again, this breed tends to try and do just that.

In a course, Deepak Chopra commented that most people are emotionally arrested at the stage that got them what they wanted when they were children. Did parents give in with the first request, the wheedling, tears, tantrums, aggression, the threat to hold the breath until they turned blue? Look at our world leaders and apply that reasoning. Spoiled brats for sure.

Emotional coercion is a powerful tool - especially when most of us would avoid confrontation rather than stand up to a red faced bully - especially one holding nuclear warheads - or our life savings!

Well said Marilyn! The school of hard knocks is the best school to graduate from. It is the most expensive and most comprehensively practical and wise education you can get anywhere! MIT? Harvard? Oxford? oh that’s only kindergarten! No wonder we are ruled by a bunch of selfish and supremely spoiled and lying (leaders) brats!

I FEEL your pain. Having had my own share of rude awakenings I too am frustrated with my seemingly irrepressible desire to think the best of everyone. However, despite my inclination to bestow it, trust has to be earned. It is apparent that the societal moral compass is broken; politicians, business leaders, businesses (and their so called customer service focus), and even religious leaders have proven themselves in general to be untrustworthly. While a card carrying member of the 5%, I believe we need to be wise, understand the world of the 95% and practice healthy due diligence....as one of my first bosses told me when I started out in business "In God we trust, all else we audit."
